Steelheads begin lengthy homestand

Published: November 21, 2012

The Steelheads play their next six games at CenturyLink Arena. The first of those games is Wednesday night, as Idaho hosts Alaska.

The Aces (11-4) enter the game atop the ECHL’s Mountain Division, two points ahead of the second-place Steelheads (9-4-2).

The Steelheads announced Tuesday that goaltender Josh Robinson and forward Austin Smith have been reassigned to Idaho after spending time with the Texas Stars of the AHL. Both are expected to be available for Wednesday’s game. Robinson has a 5-0-1 record with the Steelheads, and Smith has scored five points in his six games with Idaho. Also, the team released forward Ron Meyers, who had two points in four games.
