What’s closed for Thanksgiving:

• Schools in the Boise, Meridian, Kuna, Caldwell, Melba, Vallivue, Nampa and Middleton school districts are closed.

• Boise State University and its offices are closed.

• All federal, state and city offices will be closed Thursday. Some county and city offices will be closed Friday; check your local office.

• All branches of the Boise library , the Ada County Library and libraries in Garden City, Meridian, Eagle and Nampa will be closed Thursday. Call your local branch for Friday hours.

• Allied Waste in Ada and Canyon counties, Sanitary Services in Meridian, J & M Sanitation Service in Kuna and Benjamin’s Rural Disposal in rural Canyon County will not operate Thursday; trash pickup will be delayed by one day the rest of the week.

• ValleyRide city buses will not run on Thursday. Normal schedule resumes Friday.

• Post offices will be closed Thursday; no mail, except Express Mail, will be delivered.

• All state liquor stores and contract stores will be closed Thursday.

• Some supermarkets will be open Thursday; hours may be limited at some locations.

• Banks will be closed Thursday.
