Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho volleyball opens NAIAs vs. Westmont

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Coyotes will open Pool B play against Westmont of California at next week’s NAIA National Championships in Sioux Falls, Iowa. The match is Tuesday. Also in Pool B are defending national champion Texas-Brownsville and St. Francis of Illinois. The College of Idaho will play Texas-Brownsville on Nov. 28 and St. Francis on Nov. 29. The top-two teams in each of the six pools advance to single-elimination bracket play.

IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Vandals beat Texas State 25-14, 21-25, 25-18, 25-21 in the quarterfinals of the WAC tournament in San Antonio. Second-seeded Idaho (16-13) will face No. 3 seed Texas-San Antonio is a semifinal match Tuesday.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: Senior Becky Flores and sophomore Michelle Terpstra were honorable mention picks to the 2012 Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Star team.
