Idaho colleges roundup: Idaho falls to Montana in women’s basketball action

The Vandals fell behind early and couldn’t recover in a 71-50 loss to the Grizzlies on Sunday in Moscow. Guard Stacey Barr led Idaho (0-4) with 10 points, all in the second half, while wing Alyssa Charlston added nine and guard Krissy Karr contributed seven. As a team, Idaho shot just 27.5 percent from the floor and 27.3 percent from the 3-point line.

IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: Allison (Walker) Baker and Alyssa Schultz were first-team All-WAC selections, while Alex Sele was a second-team pick and Katelyn Peterson made the all-freshman team.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes will open play at the NAIA National Championships in Sioux City, Iowa, against Westmont at 2:15 p.m. MST Tuesday.

BOISE STATE WRESTLING: Jason Chamberlain (149 pounds) and George Ivanov (157) picked up individual wins in a 30-6 loss to No. 1 Minnesota in Minneapolis.

BSU DIVING: Erin Kohlbeck finished a career-best seventh on platform during the final day of competition at the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. Kohlbeck’s score of 211.35 led the Broncos.
