After the Idaho Humane Society put out a call about supplies running short for the program that provides cat food for homebound seniors, Boise City employees stepped up with boxes of donations.

Collection sites were set up at City Hall downtown, City Hall West and the Boise Wastewater Treatment plant on Lander Street.

One nice touch: "Turk," a Boise Police K9, helped deliver the food to the IHS last week.

The organization is still welcoming donations of all kinds of pet foods and supplies: 4775 West Dorman Street, Boise. (208) 342-3508.
