At Saturday’s early morning practice, first-year coach Mike Peck put different combinations of teams in late-game situations with a team designated as either up by two, down by two or tied. Defense and attention to detail continue to be the themes of camp. “If a player is off by 6 inches of where he should be guarding a guy, those inches can make the difference,’’ Peck said.

Preseason game

• Idaho vs. Reno Bighorns, at Albert Lowry High School, Winnemucca, Nev., 8 p.m. Monday. Practices continue Sunday and Monday morning in Boise, before the team departs for Winnemucca.

Season opener

• Idaho at Los Angeles D-Fenders, Nov. 28, 8 p.m.

Home opener

• Austin Toros at Idaho, Dec. 7, 7 p.m., CenturyLink Arena
