Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State wrestlers lose match at North Dakota State

The Broncos won four bouts, but lost 24-15 in Fargo, N.D. Jason Chamberlain (149 pounds), Scott Bacon (174), Jake Swartz (184) and J.T. Felix (285) earned victories for the Broncos (0-2), who head to Minneapolis to take on No. 1 Minnesota on Sunday.

IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: Portland rallied for a 62-56 win over the Vandals in Moscow. Alyssa Charlston scored 13 points for Idaho (0-3), which led by 18 points in the second half.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes opened play at the Twin Rivers Physical Therapy Classic in Lewiston with a 68-55 victory over New Hope Christian. Chakala Carthen led the C of I (4-1) with 15 points.

C OF I MEN’S BASKETBALL: The Coyotes defeated Montana Western 80-73 in a late game at the 26th Golden Rule Shootout in Caldwell. Rodney Delgardo led the C of I (3-4) with 22 points.

IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Vandals earned the No. 2 seed in next week’s WAC tournament and will face Texas State, the No. 7 seed, Monday afternoon in San Antonio.

BSU SWIMMING AND DIVING: Junior Ciera Cortney took third place in the consolation final of the three-meter event at the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. Cortney scored 269.40 in the final to finish 11th overall.
