This edition of BI covers this week and next. We will not publish Thanksgiving week. (Well also be dark at Christmas and New Years.)
After Thanksgiving, we will change BIs publication day to Tuesday. The next edition will come out Tuesday, Nov. 27. The idea is to give BI an extra day of exposure to readers in offices and other locations during the workweek of publication.
I urge business groups to take advantage of Datebook, our weekly local business calendar, to spread the word about upcoming events. There is no charge. But you do need to provide your info by Monday the week before the magazine publishes.
We have a separate calendar online that you can find on the Idaho Statesmans home page. Enter your event information there, and it will appear online immediately, and we will automatically pick up your item for the magazine as long as you have met the deadline. Thats the best way to send us calendar items.
Another way is to email calendar@idahostatesman.com, though that wont get your item on the site.
Finally, you can always email business@idahostatesman.com, an email address that is monitored by me and our business reporters. But please understand that sometimes emails are overlooked in the daily flood. I dont usually acknowledge receipt of calendar listings and news releases, but I will if you ask me at the start of your emails subject line.
