Idaho Fish & Game seek public's help in finding those who poached bull elk in Elmore County

Published: November 13, 2012

A bull elk was killed, stripped of its antlers then left to waste on Shaw Road, south of Grandview Highway, in Elmore County last week, according to Idaho Fish & Game officials.

Investigators believe the carcass was dumped on or about Thursday, Nov. 8.

Citizens Against Poaching is offering a reward for information about the crime, 800-632-5999 (24 hours a day); callers may remain anonymous.

Fish & Game conservation officer Robert Sellers was dispatched to investigate the poaching on Friday. He found the poached bull with an orange and black rope tied around its head. Both of its antlers had been sawed off. The carcass had been skinned and cut in half, but all of the meat was left to waste.
