If you're going to be traveling in Eastern Oregon or Idaho's West-Central mountains, prepare to encounter slick road conditions and up to 5 inches of snow. The valleys will get 1 to 3 inches of snow.
The National Weather Service put out a winter weather advisory for Baker County, Ore., and the Upper Weiser Basin Sunday. Forecasts show snow falling in the morning and early afternoon, and winds will be 5 to 15 mph.
The Boise area may get some snow flurries in the late morning or afternoon Monday there's a 40 percent chance but probably not measurable amounts, a Weather Service meteorologist said Sunday.
The low Monday morning in Boise is expected to be about 27, and the high for the day reach the low-40s. Temperatures will warm up later in the week, with highs in the low-50s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. There's a slight chance of showers on Tuesday and Friday.
Snow levels were above 5,000 feet Sunday. Bogus Basin has a couple inches of snow at 6,200 feet, a meteorologist said.
