Brrrrrr! Cold won’t stick around in the Treasure Valley

Published: November 10, 2012

How cold is it getting? Into the 30s, mostly, but don’t get used to bundling up too much. Temperatures are expected to rise next week.

Has Boise seen snow? Yep, but nothing to write home about. There were reports of light dustings throughout the Treasure Valley on Friday, said Chuck Redman, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

What should I expect this weekend? Sun and cold. Saturday is expected to be clear with a high near 40. Veterans Day will see increasing clouds, but the high is again expected to hover around 40.

When will things change? Monday brings a slight chance of snow and a forecast high of 46. The high on Wednesday is expected to be 51, and it should be in the 50s on Thursday and Friday, too.

What about the important stuff, like skiing? There’s no snow at Bogus Basin, but the Sun Valley Ski Resort webcam shows 8 inches there. Bogus could continue to see light flurries over the next few days, but nothing substantial, Redman said.
