A Nampa man arrested in May with 5 pounds of marijuana in his apartment is headed to prison for at least a year.

Kristopher Jon Strong, 31, was sentenced Friday to 1 to 6 years in prison by 3rd District Judge Juneal Kerrick.

Strong is to pay a $5,000 fine and pay $500 in restitution.

Strong's girlfriend, Jennifer Koskie, 30, was sentenced last month to two to four years in prison. Strong and Koskie were living together when Idaho State Police served a search warrant at their apartment May 8 and seized 5 pounds of marijuana, as well as scales, packaging materials and $6,500.

A judge authorized the search after officers observed four drug sales at Strong's apartment that ranged from an ounce to a half pound of marijuana.

Co-defendant Christopher Alvarez was sentenced last month to probation. Another co-defendant, Eduardo Arroyo, is to be sentenced Nov. 19.
