Woman injured by drive-by-shooting in Garden City Friday morning

Published: November 9, 2012

Garden City police are looking for whomever fired several bullets into a trailer home at 207 E. 44th Street around 5:30 a.m. Friday morning.

A woman sleeping inside the trailer home was hit by two shots, police say. Paramedics treated the woman at the trailer home and then took her to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center for treatment of what appear to be non life-threatening gun shot wounds.

A witness told police they saw a white, extended cab pickup truck — possibly a Ford — speed away from the home around the time of the shooting.

Garden City police have not released any information about a possible motive for the shooting. Detectives were still at the home as of 9 a.m. collecting evidence.

Anyone with information should call Garden City police at 472-2950 or Crime Stoppers at 343-2677.
