Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho women knock off Lewis-Clark State

Felicity Jones and Dayna Drager each scored 13 points, the defense forced 30 turnovers and the Coyotes (2-0) beat their Gem State rivals 75-44 at the Westminster Fall Classic basketball tournament in Salt Lake City. It was the C of I’s first ever win over Lewis-Clark State, which won the previous nine meetings. The Warriors (0-2), ranked No. 15 in the NAIA Division I poll, played without leading scorer Brittaney Niebergall, but got 19 points from Shelby Barnes.

BOISE STATE VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos defeated Nevada 25-19, 25-17, 25-19 in Reno. Alyssa Gammel led Boise State (15-12, 6-5 MW) with 13 kills.

IDAHO VOLLEYBALL: The Vandals defeated Louisiana Tech 25-11, 25-21, 25-14 in Moscow. Alex Sele had eight kills for Idaho (13-13, 11-5 WAC), which won its 700th match in program history.
