Ada County voter turnout strong this election, but less than 2008

Published: November 8, 2012

Voter turnout numbers are in for Ada County: 183,829 people voted, or 73.1 percent of registered voters. That's down from 2008, when 78 percent of registered voters cast ballots.

There are currently 251,647 registered voters in the county. In 2008, there were 233,037.

The statewide turnout wasn't available Thursday, but it will be released later this month, state elections officials said.
