Investigators with the Payette County Sheriffs Department, Idaho State Police and Payette and Fruitland police departments are investigating a homicide at a home on Baker Lane north of Payette.
The body of a woman who lives at the house was found by her roommate just before 11 p.m. Wednesday, Payette County Sheriff Chad Huff said.
Officials have identified the victim as 45-year-old Elizabeth Ann Baune.
Investigators say the womans injuries were not self-inflicted and all the evidence found at the home indicates she was killed, Huff said.
Detectives have talked to several people who knew the woman and are still trying to find one man who has been identified as a person of interest in the case but is not a suspect, to ask him what he knows, Huff said.
Investigators are asking for the publics help in locating a vehicle that left the scene. The vehicle description is a turquoise 2002 Honda Passport with Idaho license plates 1P73311.
Anyone with information should call the Payette County Sheriffs office at (208) 642-6006.
