Case, Tibbs win Ada County Commission seats

Republican incumbent Commissioner Dave Case and Republican nominee Jim Tibbs have each won their bid for Ada County Commissioner.

Case defeated challengers Thomas Howell, Democrat, and Jon Howard, independent.

Tibbs beat his Democratic challenger Larry Rincover.

Case, appointed by Gov. Butch Otter in May to fill the remainder of Vern Bisterfeldt’s term, defeated incumbent Sharon Ullman in the May primary.

Case and Tibbs join incumbent Rick Yzaguirre on the the three-member commission.

Both Case and Tibbs have said they want increase transparency at the county, especially pertaining to the county’s public/private partnership with Dynamis Energy to build a waste-to-energy plant at the county-owned landfill.
