Canyon County will once again send an all-Republican contingent to the Idaho Legislature, but there will be some new faces.
Four of Canyons 12 newly elected Republican lawmakers are newcomers: Brandon Hixon, District 10 House A; Todd Lakey, District 12 Senate; Robert Anderst, District 12 House A; and Rick Youngblood, District 12 House B.
Returning lawmakers include: Jim Rice, District 10 Senate; Darrell Bolz, District 10 House B; Patti Anne Lodge, District 11 Senate; Gayle L. Batt, District 11 House A; Christy Perry, District 11 House B; Curt McKenzie, District 13 Senate; Brent Crane, District 13 House A; and Gary E Collins, District 13 House B.
Canyon County also will have a new sheriff. Republican nominee Kiernan Donahue beat independent candidate Robert Muse.
