Abraham Verghese will bring his passions for medicine and writing to The Cabin’s “Readings & Conversations” series. Verghese is a successful novelist and well-respected physician and will discuss his best-selling novel, “Cutting for Stone,” and his work to motivate his fellow doctors to include hands-on examination ritual back into their practices rather than relying only on technology. Verghese’s talk became so popular that The Cabin moved it from the Egyptian Theatre to the larger Morrison Center.
