My name is Brandon Hixon and I am your Republican nominee for District 10, House of Representatives Seat A. I am also your 2012 Canyon County Republican of the Year Award winner. As a fourth-generation Idahoan, I am running for this position because I want to uphold the common-sense conservative values that make Idaho among the best states in the Union. I will be a champion in representing my constituents in the Idaho Legislature.

I put forward this rebuttal statement to you today because I have a Democrat opponent on Nov. 6 that does not share the same principles that I do. Some of his Obama-like agendas include opposition to choice in education, expanding gay rights in the state of Idaho, and returning our schools back to union control with closed-door meetings, effectively cutting out taxpayers and parents. I do not believe this is the right direction for Caldwell, or the state of Idaho. I have talked to thousands of people who are sincerely excited about my candidacy because I am not your average politician. I am a young man that wants to make a difference in the state of Idaho. My Democrat opponent has accused me of following the party line. Let me make this clear. I have no agenda that I bring to the Legislature except to make Idaho the best state it can be. I will look at all sides of the issues and actively listen to my constituents. If there is a piece of legislation put forth that is the best direction for this state, I will consider it no matter which political arena it originates from.

I will uphold the same common-sense conservative ideals that have made this country great, but we now see fading from the political spectrum every single day.
