Boise State soccer team closes regular season with a win

Boise State defeated Nevada 1-0 on Saturday in Boise. Junior Ashley Hruby scored the game-winning goal in the 43rd minute. The Broncos will head to the Mountain West Tournament in San Diego with some momentum on their side: They went 4-0-1 in their past five matches. Boise State will open the conference tournament as the No. 3 seed and will have a rematch with Nevada on Wednesday in the opening round.

BSU VOLLEYBALL: Liz Harden had 11 kills as the Broncos defeated Air Force 25-23, 26-24, 27-25 in Colorado Springs, Colo.

IDAHO CROSS COUNTRY: Junior Hannah Kiser won her first individual title and the Vandal women won their third WAC championship in a row in Ruston, La. The men’s team finished in fifth.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN’S BASKETBALL: Rocky Mountain defeated the Coyotes 80-65 in Dillon, Mont. Ben Van Lith led the C of I with 16 points, but the Coyotes (0-2) couldn’t rally after falling behind by 12 at halftime.

C OF I MEN’S SOCCER: Northwest University defeated the Coyotes 2-0 to complete a season sweep in Caldwell.

C OF I WOMEN’S SOCCER: Oregon Tech defeated the Coyotes 2-1 in Caldwell.

C OF I VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes defeated Warner Pacific 25-20, 27-25, 25-15 in Portland.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE MEN’S BASKETBALL: Senior Jordan Nicholes scored 18 points as the Crusaders fell 93-45 to Gonzaga in Spokane.

NNU MEN’S SOCCER: The Crusaders and Sioux Falls played to a 1-1 draw in Nampa.

NNU VOLLEYBALL: Becky Flores had 17 kills as the Crusaders defeated Montana State Billings 25-18, 25-22, 22-25, 25-22 in Nampa.
