Mountain West Power Poll: Saturday, Oct. 27

Published: October 27, 2012

1. Boise State: Broncos are the only team without a Mountain West loss. They clinch a share of the title with four more wins.

2. Fresno State: The Bulldogs’ defense has been nearly as dominant as the Broncos’ this season.

3. San Diego State: Aztecs’ ability to win at Nevada with a backup quarterback might be the league’s most impressive victory.

4. Air Force: Falcons lost three of their first five games, now they are on a three-game winning streak.

5. Nevada: Wolf Pack have two one-point losses this season — and now one 17-point blowout loss.

6. New Mexico: Lobos likely need to beat UNLV, Wyoming and Colorado State to go bowling.

7. UNLV: The Rebels’ road struggles likely will continue at San Diego State, which has won three straight.

8. Wyoming: Unraveling Cowboys have to win out to repeat last year’s feat of reaching a bowl game.

9. Colorado State: The Rams get their best chance to pick up a second win at home against Hawaii.

10. Hawaii: The Warriors, known for their offense for a decade, rank 118th in the nation and last in the conference in yards at 287.3 per game.
