Man robs coffee shop in Downtown Boise

Published: October 26, 2012

A man robbed a coffee shop in Downtown Boise Friday.

Employees at The District Coffee House, 110 S. 5th St., called 911 at 8:09 p.m. and said a man ran into the store, grabbed money from the cash register, then fled.

"It was just really quick," employee Tucker Maile told The Idaho Statesman. "He didn't say a word. He just took the money and left."

The man did not display a weapon. Several customers were inside at the time, but no one was injured. Police interviewed witnesses and are continuing to investigate.

A description of the robber was not available. The coffee shop remained open Friday night.
