With success both on mainstream and Christian radio, pop-rockers Needtobreathe have built a significant fan base over the past decade. Seizing an opportunity for even bigger exposure, the South Carolina band toured as the opener for Taylor Swift earlier this year before beginning its own “The Reckoning” tour last month (named after the title of its 2011 album). Led by brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart, Needtobreathe shrank to a trio this summer when drummer Joe Stillwell left the band, but the group has hired a touring skin pounder to take up the slack.
