Some nights things just go your way.

Idaho led by three goals when forward Jacob Cepis threw the puck off the glass near the blue line late in the second period Wednesday at CenturyLink Arena.

Cepis didn’t even realize it at the time, but the puck ricocheted off the glass and into the Ontario Reign’s goal. Idaho (4-2) went on to win the contest 7-2.

“It was the craziest (goal),” Cepis said. “I was pretty rattled because I had missed a few empty nets, so I was pretty happy. I didn’t even know until everyone was going crazy.”

Seven Steelheads scored in the win, and Cepis and Justin Dowling each tallied three points with a goal and two assists.

Also, Kael Mouillierat had a goal and an assist, and Austin Fyten and Austin Smith each scored their first goal as a pro.
