Southwest Airlines will no longer offer flights between Boise and Portland beginning April 13, 2013.
The airline announced Wednesday the pending cancellation of its twice-a-day flights, citing a lower passenger count and an opportunity to use the aircraft elsewhere for better revenue, as well as a refocus on fewer short-term flights, said Patti Miller, spokeswoman for the Boise Airport.
"It's just unfortunate that we're losing these flights," Miller said.
Alaska Airlines will continue to offer five Boise-Portland flights each day, Miller said.
