A reward is being offered for tips that solve a series of arson fires at Boise State University, including two garbage can fires discovered Tuesday.
"Any information anyone can provide, whether it's watching for suspicious activity or reporting something they may have already seen, could be really helpful," Boise police Detective Jeff Dustin said in a news release issued Tuesday.
Two vehicles were damaged Oct. 11 before firefighters extinguished the fires on the top level of the Lincoln Avenue Garage at Lincoln Avenue and University Drive about 6:45 p.m. The cars, which were parked near each other, were heavily damaged, and police believe they were intentionally set on fire.
Police also believe three trash cans that have burned in or near the garage within the past week, including the two on Tuesday, were intentionally set.
Police continue to develop leads but ask that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS, log on to www.343cops.com or text a tip to CRIMES or 274637 with the subject: Tip236. Tipsters can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is available.
