Ada County pet of the week: Turk the dog

Published: October 23, 2012

Turk the dog.

Turk, 4, is a neutered male, tan and white, Dachshund and Chihuahua mix. Turk is a quite a character and his little tail wags constantly.

He’d love a home where he can sit in your lap or next to you on the couch; he wants to be close to his people. At 15 pounds, Turk is a bit overweight so a light diet and daily walks will help him keep his good health. Turk is great with other dogs and people of all ages. He even attended See Spot Walk and did great meeting and greeting everyone there, human and canine. Due to his short coat, he’ll require an indoor home. Turk is a gentle boy who bonds easily.

Turk can be found in kennel 404 (#17304196) at the Idaho Humane Society which is located at 4775 Dorman Street in Boise. The shelter is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
