BOISE STATE UNIFORMS

Big Black? Where’s that tradition?

It started with Boise Junior College in the 1960s, and to present date the tradition has always been blue and orange, the colors of Boise State.

We have a blue field, our fight song even says “Go Orange, Go Big Blue.”

What part of that is black, or gray for that matter?

You want to wear black, move to northern Idaho. I understand things change, development, electronics, blah blah, but tradition of school colors shouldn’t be one of them.

Be proud orange and blue. Go Big Black. Yep, that will sound amazing Saturday, right?!

Not wearing Vandals color to BSU game

Where was the person’s head who made the crazy decision to wear black uniforms and have the crowd be all black for the Boise State-UNLV football game this Saturday?

Black is a Vandals color, and we are not going to wear a Vandals black color to this game.

Broncos fans proudly wear blue and orange, which we are happy to do every game, and we will also wear blue or orange to this Saturday’s game.

Let us pray (can I say pray publicly?) that the all- black uniforms will not lower the play of the Broncos to the level of play of the team up north when they wear all black.

DON AND JODY MUMMERT, Boise
