Time is right for leaf peeping in the Treasure Valley

Autumn's parade of fall colors is on the verge of breaking loose in the Treasure Valley. Some trees at Kathryn Albertson Park and Boise's North End have already begun their annual transition, but there is certainly more to come in the next couple of weeks.

Autumn’s parade of fall colors is breaking loose in the Treasure Valley and beyond, with some trees at Kathryn Albertson Park and Boise’s North End showing their annual transition. Better get out and enjoy the color soon: Forecasters are expecting a drop in temperatures next week, accompanied by an increased chance of rain.

Friday “is probably going to be the last real mild day for a while,” said George Skari, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Boise.
