Ada County pet of the week, Charlie the cat.

Charlie, 4, is a spayed female, white and grey, Domestic Longhair cat. Charlie was relinquished by an owner who could no longer care for her. She is a dainty, ladylike cat who keeps her soft, mostly white coat well groomed. She loves gentle affection and petting.

Charlie is litter box trained. She has happily lived with children of all ages and would even do fine in a home with cat-friendly dogs.

Charlie is a calm cat that enjoys lounging during the day and curling up in your lap during the evenings. She can be shy at first, but giving her the time to adjust is well worth it once you get to know this lovely, companionable cat.

Charlie can be found in kennel 04 (#17340265) at the Idaho Humane Society which is located at 4775 Dorman Street in Boise. The shelter is open Monday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The IHS Shelter is currently running a great adoption special for cats. All cats and kittens can be adopted for a donation only now through Sunday, October 21.
