Finals set for Firebird’s Halloween Classic

The final four in the Lucas Oil Top Gun Shootout are set for Sunday’s final eliminations at the NAPA Halloween Classic at Firebird Raceway.

Wading their way through the 16-car Open Wheel field, Cody Hiatt of Boise and Brett Preuss of Grand Junction, Colo., will square off in their two rear-engined dragsters for the Top Gun final.

In Full Bodied, Chad Demler of Providence, Utah, will drive his ’37 Chevy against the ’63 Corvette of Jake Neibauer of Billings, Mont.

The two overall champions will compete for the ultimate Shootout title.

Gates open at 8 a.m. Sunday. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children 6-12, children 5 and younger are admitted free.
