The proposed multimodal center at 8th and Jefferson Streets in Downtown Boise would serve as a central transportaion hub for buses, bicycles, car sharing, vanpools, carpools, taxis and airport shuttles.
Valley Regional Transit holds an open house to discuss the plans and gather public comment, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17 at the Garro Building, 816 W. Bannock.
The proposed site is now a surface parking lot. The VRT is currently doing an environmental assessment examining the effects of locating a center there. The study and a decision about the location is expected in early 2013.
