Ray David Cueller is charged with aggravated battery after Ada County Sheriffs deputies say he stabbed another man in the lower abdomen outside Cowgirls Saloon in Kuna early Friday.
Sheriffs deputies were sent to the saloon around 12:30 a.m. Friday to investigate and found that an employee had a stab wound. That employee was treated at the scene by paramedics but was not transported to a hospital, according to reports.
Deputies later determined the 26-year-old Cueller was trying to get inside the bar and got into some kind of confrontation with a male employee when Cueller stabbed that employee a 3 1/2-inch folding knife.
Cueller was then arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail early Friday morning. Jail records indicate he bonded out by Friday afternoon.
A preliminary hearing on the case is set for Oct. 26. The crime of aggravated battery is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
