Steve Cook of Rexburg grabbed the top spot in Top Gun qualifying at the NAPA Halloween Classic XIX on Thursday at Firebird Raceway.

Driving his ’02 Dragster, Cook delivered a 6.90 elapsed time at 194.59 miles per hour to lead the Lucas Oil Top Gun Open-Wheel 16-car field.

In Top Gun-Full Bodied action, Justin Linares of Grantsville, Utah, ran 6.93-200.49 mph to lead the field with his ’69 Camaro
