A watchful citizen's report of a man carrying a TV into a home led to an arrest for burglary Wednesday in Caldwell.

Miguel Pesina, 37, was in the Canyon County Jail on burglary and resisting arrest charges after police say they found stolen jewelry and electronics, including the TV, in the attic of a home in the 500 block of Syringa Way.

Police were dispatched to the area about 1 p.m. after someone reported seeing a man suspiciously carrying the TV. No one responded when officers knocked on the door. Two hours later, police were notified of a burglary at a home in the same block.

Officers returned to the home and found the stolen property after the homeowner allowed them inside, according to police.
