A 49-year-old Garden City man who was wearing nothing more than a blanket was booked into the Ada County Jail early Wednesday morning on felony charges of stalking and indecent exposure.

At about midnight, police were called to a report of a prowler looking in windows in the 200 block of East 33rd Street. Police say they found Joseph A. Murray standing outside an apartment complex.

Murray, a registered sex offender, is accused of masturbating while looking in windows of a woman's residence. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Garden City police say they routinely do compliance checks of registered sex offenders. Murray has been in compliance since December of 2010.
