Idaho might pay more to train more doctors

The state pays $4 million a year to fund students in 2 out-of-state programs.

In an effort to alleviate Idaho’s doctor shortage, the Idaho Board of Education is asking state lawmakers to approve money to pay for five more Idaho students to earn medical degrees each year from the University of Washington’s School of Medicine.
