Clearwater Paper picks Massman as its next CEO

Linda K. Massman, president and chief operating officer of Clearwater Paper, will be promoted effective Jan. 1, the company said.

Massman will succeed CEO Gordon L. Jones, who is retiring. Jones will remain as a member of the Clearwater board, which Massman will join, a company spokesman said.

Vice Chairman Boh A. Dickey will become chairman, effective Jan. 1.

Jones, 62, led the company from its inception in 2008 as a spinoff of Potlatch Corp.

Massman, 45, started as vice president and chief financial officer in 2008 and was appointed to her current position in 2011.

Clearwater manufactures paper products at 15 locations in the U.S. and Canada. It employs 1,350 people at its Lewiston plant with an annual payroll of $94 million.
