Fire crews extinguish truck blaze before it can spread in Garden City

Boise fire crews were able to extinguish a pickup truck that caught fire Tuesday afternoon on West 39th Street in Garden City Tuesday afternoon before it could spread to nearby buildings.

It is unclear how the truck caught fire. The report of the fire was called into dispatchers just before 2 p.m. Tuesday

A large dark plume of smoke was visible over Garden City until fire crews put out the blaze.
