Jacob Todd Campbell is being held in the Ada County Jail on a felony lewd conduct charge after Ada County Sheriff’s deputies say he was caught having illegal sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl in a car in the Victory/Maple Grove roads neighborhood early Saturday morning.

Deputies say the 22-year-old Campbell met the girl on Facebook several weeks ago and had illegal sexual contact with her on more than one occasion. Deputies also say Campbell admitted that he knew the girl was 15, according to reports.

Sheriff’s officials say a patrol deputy found Campbell and the girl in a car on a cul-de-sac at the end of South Mitchell Street about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Campbell will make his initial court appearance Monday.

The crime of lewd conduct is punishable by up to life in prison.
