Vikings defensive end Jared Allen (Idaho State) sacked Tennessee quarterback Matt Hasselbeck in a game where Minnesota's defense held the Titans to 267 total yards, including 52 rushing, in a 30-7 Vikings win.

Allen credited Minnesota defensive coordinator Alan Williams with getting a group of veterans and youngsters to perform well together, helping Minnesota to a 4-1 record.

"I think it’s been a combination of him knowing what we can do well and us knowing what we can do well in the system," Allen told the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune of Williams.

• Falcons tight end Tommy Gallarda (Boise State) had one reception for 7 yards. It was his first NFL catch.

• Browns defensive end Billy Winn (Boise State) had two tackles.
