The Broncos began the season with a dominating 210-90 win over Idaho in Moscow on Saturday. Boise State claimed wins in 12 of the 16 events. Senior Stevie Hughey and freshmen Devin Madsen and Emri Moore each won two individual titles.
BSU VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos defeated Cal State Bakersfield 25-23, 21-25, 25-16, 28-26 in Bakersfield. Liz Harden led the Broncos with 21 kills.
BSU CROSS COUNTRY: The Broncos swept the individual titles at the Boise State Invitational. Kate Jette led the women by finishing the 5-kilometer course at Ann Morrison Park in 18 minutes, 27 seconds. On the mens side, Zach Wiles won in 15:40. The BSU men and women each captured the team titles, and the Northwest Nazarene teams each finished in second.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE MENS SOCCER: The Crusaders defeated Montana State Billings 1-0 in Nampa. Evan McNiel scored his first goal of the season to lift NNU (6-2-3, 5-0-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) to its fourth straight victory.
NNU WOMENS SOCCER: The Crusaders defeated Saint Martins 2-1 in double overtime in Nampa. Whitney Wood and Lexi Fesenbek scored goals for NNU (6-6-0, 3-5-0 GNAC).
NNU VOLLEYBALL: Central Washington, ranked No. 25, defeated the Crusaders 25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 22-25, 9-15 in Nampa. Michelle Terpstra had 13 digs and 10 kills to lead NNU (9-8, 6-1 GNAC).
NNU WOMENS GOLF: The Crusaders finished in ninth place in the Saint Martins Invitational in Olympia, Wash.
COLLEGE OF IDAHO MEN'S SOCCER: Warner Pacific defeated the Coyotes 4-1 in Caldwell. Chen Simpson scored the lone goal for the C of I (1-7-2, 1-4 Cascade Conference).
C OF I VOLLEYBALL: The Coyotes (14-4, 11-0 CCC) swept Northwest Christian 25-22, 25-23, 25-16 in Eugene, Ore.
