Boise police: Routine traffic stop leads to arrest of Nampa woman on drug charges

Published: October 5, 2012

Kandice M. Ackerman

The driver of a vehicle who was pulled over for a traffic violation on West Overland Road Thursday night in Boise was found to be wanted on a parole violation — but that's not all Boise police found when they arrested Kandice M. Ackerman.

The 33-year-old Nampa woman was found to have baggies containing 31.1 grams of meth and .8 grams of marijuana. Other evidence gathered by investigators led them to believe that Ackerman had been involved in the sale of the drugs.

Ackerman was charged felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (meth), misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), and misdemeanor parole violation charges.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges today at 1:30 p.m. Friday before Judge John Hawley.
