The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) Idaho Chapter Green Schools Advocacy and Wells Fargo host this competition which invites Idaho schools, classes or groups to form a team to green their school, with the goal of saving energy and other resources, lower operating costs, and positively impacting their community.

Green Teams may be a single classroom, a grade level, an entire school or a student club. One entry is allowed per school. The Green Team will come up with a low or no cost project to begin on or after October 1, 2012 and conclude by February 8, 2013. Cash awards and plaques will be presented to the top elementary school and secondary (middle/junior or high) school. The Green Schools Committee will announce winners by March 1, 2013.
