Chad F. Anderson, David Bedford, and Ryan J. Shrock-Russell are all being held in the Ada County Jail on felony grand theft charges after police say they were involved in a burglary where 13 guns and several silver coins were taken from a West Boise area home last week.
Police say the 21-year-old Anderson broke into a home in the 2400 block of South Linda Vista Avenue, located in the Overland/Maple Grove neighborhood, on Sept. 17 and took the guns and coins from inside. He is also charged with felony burglary.
Police began their investigation that day and eventually identified Anderson, Bedford, and Shrock-Russell as suspects in the theft and sale of some of the guns and coins taken from the home, according to reports.
Police say they found an undisclosed amount of the guns and coins in two Boise area homes Thursday and arrested the trio later that night after interviewing all of them.
The theft does not appear to be random as the victims are connected to the trio by a third party, police officials said Friday morning.
The 24-year-old Bedford is charged with grand theft by possession and felony burglary. The 21-year-old Shrock-Russell is charged with grand theft by possession. Police reports do not say why Bedford is charged with burglary.
The trio will make their initial court appearances later Friday. The crimes of grand theft and burglary are punishable by 14 and 10 years in prison.
