Former Boise State golfer Troy Merritt was one shot off the lead when the first round of the Chiquita Classic was suspended due to darkness in Weddington, N.C. Merritt finished with a 5-under 67. A group of six golfers — including 2011 Boise Open winner Jason Kokrak — were leading at 6-under.
