Several hundred airmen with the 366th Fighter Wing are returning to Mountain Home Air Force Base Thursday, after a six-month deployment to Southwest Asia.
Many of the airmen are part of the 391st Fighter Squadron or 366th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Air crews flew thousands of missions in the F-15E Strike Eagle to support operations on the ground, according to a base official.
The airmen reunited with their families will now enjoy some time off before returning to work.
