Idaho colleges roundup: Boise State soccer team shuts out Penn on the road

The Broncos earned their first road win of the season Sunday in Philadelphia. Katy Oehring scored the game winner in the 54th minute off a free kick from Kelsey Nicassio. Goalkeeper Maddy McDevitt earned her third shutout of the season, making four saves. Boise State (5-6-1) opens Mountain West play Friday at defending champion New Mexico.

IDAHO SOCCER: The Vandals lost their final nonconference game of the season, falling to UNLV 1-0 on an own goal. Idaho is 3-9-0 heading into WAC play.

COLLEGE OF IDAHO WOMEN’S SOCCER: Brittany Lacey scored twice in the first six minutes of the second half as the Coyotes defeated Eastern Oregon 4-1 at the Coyote Classic in Caldwell. Bri Blair and McKenzie Anderson also scored for the C of I (1-3-1).
