Clinton Matthews, 22, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual abuse of a child younger than 16 and one charge of lewd conduct with a child younger than 16.

According to a statement by the Ada County Prosecutor's office, Matthews molested four boys. His victims ranged in age from 7 to 14.

He originally came under scrutiny for accessing child pornography in January 2012. A task force that investigates Internet crimes against children searched Matthews' home and found a 7-year-old boy there, according to the prosecutor's statement. The boy later told investigators Matthews had sexually abused him, according to the statement.

A subsequent investigation led to three other victims, all of whom knew each other as family friends, according to the statement.

Matthews was originally charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse and lewd conduct. Six of those counts were dropped as a part of his plea agreement with prosecutors.

Ada County also filed a child pornography charge against Matthews, but it was dismissed.
